Generally the shipping clerk is not a good postion for a candidate who is experienced , unless you're in a big joint venture enterprise , especially the company of Euro&American.

There is great difference on the enterprise culture between the foreign company and the private corporation.
8 p* w6 {4 R. oAlthough the sales' income which depends on the marketing performance is normally bigger than the one of people in charge of other proceedures, the shipping clerk is considered as the same important and essential for the operation and development of the company. And this kind of companys often set a good strategy and policy with sustained improvement. So the success of the sales cannot be only attributed to his or her works for the company also give them a better environment. As a result , the job title will not be a great disvantage for you when you're a shipping clerk.

It's sure that the sales will bring him obvious orders and incomes while it seems that shipping clerk's work is dispensable.

One of the biggest reason is that many bosses don't known the actual procedure of the logistics , both in domestic and the overseas. He or she will not has the feeling that you have saved money for him when you get a better solution via negotiation with the forwarder and he or she does not know which fee is needed and which fee is not necessary but it has occured due to the shipping's mistake.

As a result , the postion on shipping in many of companies is lower than the sales , or these staff become the subordinates of the sales . Some boss will told the shipping that he or she will get a promotion prospect which means from the shipping to sales, if their current works can be done well.

In fact , a promotion prospect for shipping should be a higher position like shipping suppervious , shipping manager or logistics manager.
